Facilitated by Dr. Robert Goldberg, Drs. Ally Prebtani and Rose Yeung will describe the regulation of biosimilar drugs in Canada, review effectiveness and safety of currently available biosimilars in endocrinology, and discuss techniques for effective communication with patients when switching to biosimilars.

  • Summarize the availability and evidence base for the use of insulin biosimilars in Canada
  • Describe the availability and evidence base for the use of biosimilars in general endocrine conditions
  • Review practical aspects of prescribing biosimilars
