Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia Across the Lifespan

Monday, December 9, 2024 | 19:00-21:00 ET | Online Session - Microsite

Endocrinologists may face challenges when encountering CAH in patients since it is relatively uncommon disorder. Using case studies to follow a patient across their lifespan, this KTA aims to address challenges in effectively transitioning adolescent CAH patients into adult care, managing the long-term complexities of the condition, and interpreting evolving and nuanced biochemical markers crucial for the effective management of CAH.

Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Contrast the key management priorities between pediatric and adult patients with CAH, emphasizing clinical differences.
  • Outline a structured approach for transitioning adolescents with CAH to adult care, addressing common challenges in care continuity and patient needs.
  • Identify and manage long-term disease morbidities, such as cardiovascular and metabolic risks, in CAH patients.
  • Explore emerging therapeutic strategies and novel treatment modalities in the management of CAH.
