A portion of patients with hypothyroidism report experiencing residual symptoms that impact their quality of life while on standard-of-care levothyroxine monotherapy. This webinar will explore optimizing standard-of-care treatment and discuss ongoing management of hypothyroidism to enhance quality of life for patients.Learning Objectives
At the end of this symposium, participants will be able to:
- Identify when it is appropriate to start therapy for hypothyroidism.
- Optimize standard-of-care treatment for hypothyroidism.
- Understand that patients optimized on standard of care may still experience hypothyroid symptoms.
- Compare standard of care and alternative replacement strategies (T4 +/- T3) for patients who experience residual symptoms.
- Improve communication with patients by providing them with additional resources.
